Chapter 448

The heart, vibrating fiercely, jumped like a deer in a frying pan.

She didn’t look away from him.

The movement was panicked as if he was running away.

Halfway through, Kepler finished his cigarette and stood up.

“Let’s go!”

Nina Hua followed suit and stood up, asking, “Where to?”

“Ten million dollars for a house and you’re not going to see it?”

They walked out of the Oriental Hotel and got into Kepler’s SUV together.

The car started up and sped down the road.

Soon, you’ll be at the foot of Anshan.

It’s been many years since Nina Hua has been back, but I didn’t expect that everything here would remain the same, with green bricks and tiles, small bridges and flowing water.

She remembers the brief but wonderful time she had when she was sent here as a child to learn how to paint.

After asking for the season’s advice, the man said he wouldn’t go in, so she got out of the car alone.

Push open the door and walk into the old house alone.

The mansion was small, with a layout somewhat like, but not identical to, the courtyard houses of earlier times, and a huge shadow wall with an inscription in Master Jenifer’s own hand was visible upon entering.

The yard was overgrown with weeds, and it looked like no one had been in it for some years.

There was an acacia tree in the corner, remembered or planted from her time here.

What was then a young sapling has now grown into a towering tree, its branches and leaves stretching out far over the wall, covering the entire corner with shade.

It’s full of memories!

She walked to the front door and pushed it open, a thin layer of dust falling from her head.

The room was dimly lit, and she used her memory to find the switch and pop the light on.

The old chandelier made a zippy noise and eventually came on reluctantly because no one lived there, and the house was covered with a white cloth to serve as a dust barrier, so that when the owner returned someday, there would be less cleaning to do.

Unfortunately…the master will never return!

The heart was a little gloomy.

She pushed open the bedroom door.

There were two closely connected bedrooms, and she remembered that when she couldn’t sleep, her master would gently tap her on the shoulder and give her a pep talk so she wouldn’t be afraid.

Memories came flooding back, and it was then that she realized that much of what she didn’t remember was because she didn’t want to think about it, not because she had already forgotten.

Those feelings that are carved in the blood and bones… can never be forgotten!

She walked into the house she’d lived in as a child and looked at the small wooden plank bed, suddenly nostalgic for the feeling of lying on it.

Then they lay down gently.

Now that she’s an adult, she sleeps in her cot only curled up, in a position that isn’t comfortable but feels incredibly reassuring.

It’s like being a kid again! So innocent, so carefree.

Closing my eyes softly, I felt suddenly tired.

It seems like a long time since I’ve had a peaceful night’s sleep!

She balled up her fists and said under her breath, “Just a little sleep, even if it’s ten minutes.

Think of it as a ten-minute mini-vacation for yourself.

……..

“Barf!”

Suddenly a loud noise came from the window.

Nina Hua fiercely opened his eyes, his snowy eyes shining like cold stars.

In a low, quiet voice, “Who?”

As soon as the words died down, a shadow suddenly swished through the window.

She rolled over and climbed to her feet, and immediately went out in pursuit.

It was about seven o’clock in the evening, twilight, the lights were on, and there wasn’t much of a fall breeze in the courtyard.

She stood in the doorway, taking a wary look around.

Suddenly the eyes tightened!

r

I saw a snow-white kitten crouched under the window, dripping wet, as if it had just been pulled out of the water by someone!

However, it wasn’t raining today, and she didn’t remember any ponds around here.

After a moment’s hesitation, she eventually walked over to the kitten and picked it up.

The cat was very soft and softly called in her arms.

“Meow~”

She laughed suddenly.

Quite a cute little cat.

Closing the door instead, she carried the white cat out to the courtyard.

From a distance, I saw Kepler sitting in the car, one hand on the window, the sleeves of his white shirt pulled up, exposing half of his arm, looking casual.

A little surprised to see her come out with a cat, “Where did you get that?”

Nina Hua smiled slightly, “Found it in the courtyard, isn’t it cute?”

Probably all men don’t feel anything for such animals, and he took a calm aim and said, “Not really.”

Nina Hua glared at him.

Then ignoring his displeased look, he grabbed the cat and got into the passenger seat.

The cat was covered in water, so Nina Hua asked Kepler to find a clean towel in the boot and give it a fine wipe.

Very patient!

The man is even more unhappy.

But at this moment, the little white cat stood up from Nina Hua’s lap and shook all over.

There was a splash of water.

Kepler’s eyes suddenly seemed to be spitting fire.

Angry, “Dirty!”

The little white cat stretched his paws at him and meowed as if to retort.

Nina Hua was overjoyed.

The car started and eased off the trail.

Leave.

It was eight o’clock in the evening when they returned to the villa, and Nina Hua handed over the little white cat to the maid and asked him to take care of it, then watched the child for a while before going upstairs to rest.

When I woke up the next morning, I saw the man standing in front of the bed.

His voice was cold, and he said, “Leave for the resort at 8:00 tomorrow and accompany me on some business!”

Afterwards, turn around and leave.

Nina Hua was stunned in place, taking most of the day to react.

To the resort?Just the two of them?

She was confused and wanted to ask for more clarification, but the man had turned away without giving her a chance.

The next morning.

Nina Hua followed Kepler to the prestigious celebrity resort near Jiang Cheng.

It was ten in the morning when we arrived at the lodge on the two-hour drive.

Kepler had booked the presidential suite, and after they dropped off their luggage, Kepler went to change his clothes.

The white leisure suit he wore when he left the house this morning was now replaced by a black formal suit, his hair neatly slicked back to reveal a shiny forehead, and he looked sharp.

As he clasped his watch, he asked, “I’m having a lunch party, do you want to come with me?”

Nina Hua immediately shook his head, “I’m not going.”

As if he had anticipated her answer, Kepler looked askance at her, pointed to the phone in the living room, and said: “Then you stay later and call the room department to order food, I’ll be back around three in the afternoon, before that, don’t wander around.Got it?”

Nina Hua nodded his head in a row.

With that he picked up his jacket and walked out.

As soon as Kepler left, Nina Hua felt much more at ease, and after walking around the house, he found a small garden on the balcony, and a small hot spring pool in the garden, big enough to accommodate five or six people, the pool was cleaned and cleaned, and only needed to be drained, so it could be used immediately.

She had gotten up early today and was feeling a little sleepy, seeing that she had immediately turned the water on and stored up a whole half pool of water, then went back to her room to change into a swimming costume, which is how she soaked her body in.

Chapter 449

Her skin touched the warm water and her pores opened slowly all over her body, so she closed her eyes and sighed softly, Comfort!

I’ve been soaking for over half an hour and I’m feeling a little hungry.

So get up, go back to your room, change clothes, and call to order.

Lunch was served quickly.

She had never been very particular about food and was sitting in the living room eating her meal when suddenly, the phone rang.

She looked around and realized it was a landline in the hotel and picked it up to answer it.

The front desk lady’s pleasant voice sounded, “Hello, is this Mr. Ji?”

Nina Hua was stunned, chopsticks still in his hand, and said, “He’s not here now, what’s the matter?”

“Hello, it’s like this, there’s a Miss Li downstairs who claims to be a friend of Mr. Shen’s and wants to see him, could you please tell him for me?”

Nina Hua opened his mouth in shock and dropped his chopsticks on the table with a barf.

Half a ring.

“Hello?Hello, are you still there?”

She was busy picking up the chopsticks, her voice slightly panicked.

“Uh, Kepler he’s out and won’t be back until this afternoon.Tell you what, you tell her to come right up!”

“Well, yes!”

The phone hung up.

For a long time, Nina Hua was in a state of shock.

A friend of Kepler?

He actually had female friends, why hadn’t she heard of them?

A moment later, there was a knock on the door.

She even put down her chopsticks and walked over to the door.

I have to say that the moment the door was opened was a bit of a stunner.

I saw the woman in front of me in a long white lace dress, black hair hanging straight down to her waist, a thin figure, fair skin, although not exquisite features, but full of a gentle and serene beauty, all exuding a strong atmosphere of book literature.

It’s not wildly harsh, but it’s instantly likable.

“You are the wife of Kepler?”

She smiled softly and extended her hand towards her, “Hello, my name is Li Manxin, I’m a friend of Kepler.”

Rinku?

The first time he heard someone call Kepler that way, Nina Hua was slightly stunned, then he even stretched out his hand to shake hers, his smile a little short, “Hello.”

Li Manxin tilted her head to look into the house and asked, “Where’s Kepler?”

“He’s out on business and won’t be back until this afternoon.”

Nina Hua suddenly remembered that the two of them were still standing at the door, and even staggered away to let her in, smiling, “Come in first and sit down for a while.”

Lee Mansin nodded and entered the house.

The house was a bit of a mess, there were towels she hadn’t had time to clean up after using them to wipe her hair after the hot spring, as well as the slippers that Kepler had gone out to change into and later accidentally kicked into disarray, and there was a half-eaten takeaway on the table.

Seeing Li Manxin checking out the house, Nina Hua was embarrassed.

Even asked, “Have you eaten yet?If not, do you need me to order for you?”

Lee Mansin shook her head and smiled gently, “No, thank you!”

After a pause, I added, “I’m not well, and I’ve always been forbidden to eat out at home.”

Nina stiffened.

Looking at the simple dishes on the table, I was somehow upset.

Li Manxin, however, seemed to be unaware of it, and only saw him walking back and forth in the room, touching the clothes on the shelves and flipping through the books on the case, just like a familiar face.

Nina Hua frowned and leaned against the door, his eyes growing colder by the second.

She’s a little confused about what’s going on with this woman, knowing her relationship with Kepler, yet she’s still putting on such a show here!

Look.

What do you mean?Forced?

Half-heartedly, she finally couldn’t resist and cleared her throat, coughing.

“Well… do you want to call him first?”

She guessed that Seasonal Advent wouldn’t like someone viewing the room he lived in like he was in a zoo.

Lee Mansin lifted her head and smiled gently at her.

“No, Progeny doesn’t like to be disturbed when she’s working.”

Nina choked for a moment.

Suddenly, how come there was a feeling that she and Kepler were the only couple?

But in the end, people didn’t really say anything, and if you use this as an example, it would be petty again.

Nina Hua looked at her with a lot of anger, feeling bored, and was about to turn around and leave, but then was suddenly called by Li Manxin.

“I heard you’re from Visterdem?”

Nina Hua turned back and looked at her.

Lee Mansin smiled, a smile that had always been gentle and harmless, perhaps because she really wasn’t well, and her skin had a vaguely unnatural pallor to it.

Gently, he said, “It so happens that I just came back from Visterdem last week and brought some of its special flavors, do you want them?”

Nina Hua pursed his lips.

“No, we’ve been eating those things since we were kids, so we don’t care about them anymore, but you, since you don’t go often, keep them to yourself.”

Her tone was a little cold.

Li Manxin, however, seemed not to care and said: “You are too polite, you are Kepler’s wife, he is my friend, so you are also my friend, why are you so foreign?I’ll have some sent over tomorrow.”

Nina Hua silently tugged at the corners of his mouth, not refusing anymore.

The house fell silent.

After a quick look around the bedroom, Lee Mansin looked at the time and looked a little regretful.

After thinking about it, he suddenly asked, “Kepler hasn’t returned yet, are you going to stay in the room and wait for him?”

Nina Hua nodded.

She didn’t want to stay in the room waiting for Kepler, but for some reason, she somehow didn’t want to tell the woman her true feelings.

Li Manxin suddenly laughed, “How about this!I heard there’s a personal painting exhibition going on at the lodge, it’s noon and there should be very few people, would you like to take a look?”

A painting exhibition?

She had little interest, so she simply declined.

“No, I’m not interested in that.”

Li Manxin was not disappointed and said, “Okay!Actually, I came today mainly because I heard that Kepler was here and wanted to come see him, but since he’s not here…”

She smiled helplessly, “I’ll have to go first then.”

Nina Hua finally smiled, narrowed his eyes and said, “Okay, slow down.”

Li Manxin walked to the door, suddenly hesitated again, and finally took out an invitation card and handed it to Nina Hua.

“I have an art world y here tonight, could you please pass this invitation card to Progeny for me?”

Nina Hua received it, only to see a few English words written on it in dragons and phoenixes, too scribbled to barely read the contents, but I had to admit, it was very artistic and aesthetically pleasing.

Nodding her head, she said, “Yeah, no problem.”

“Thank you, then.”

Witnessing Li Manxin leave, Nina Hua closed the door and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Dropping the invitation card on the table, she found that the food was cold and she had no desire to continue eating, so she casually cleaned up and went back to her room to rest.

I slept through the afternoon.

Until Kepler returned.

Nina Hua’s sleep had always been shallow, so she was awakened with a start when the outer door clicked softly.

Chapter 450

Rubbing my eyes, I looked at the time and saw that it was already 4:30 in the afternoon.

She gets up and walks out of the room to see Kepler picking up the invitation card from the table and examining it curiously.

“Your friend was here at noon, and this is from her.”

Nina Hua lazily dropped a sentence and turned around to go back to his room.

Kepler looked at her, put the invitation card down, and asked, “You didn’t go out today?”

Nina Hua didn’t have the good grace to say, “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t let it run amok?”

In fact, she was just feeling a little sleepy, plus she wasn’t interested in the view, so she didn’t bother going out.

But Kepler suddenly laughed, the corners of his lips raised in a somewhat frivolous smile.

Seems extremely pleased with the way she obeyed.

He took off his jacket and tossed it aside, sat down on the couch and reached out to her, “Come here.”

Nina Hua tilted at him.

Half-heartedly, or slowly, I walked over.

Walk up to him and stop.Kepler suddenly pulled her hand, and in the next second, a cold object was placed on her wrist.

Nina Hua was cooled by this item, and suddenly sleep was gone.

I raised my hand and saw that it was an exquisite bracelet inlaid with three star-shaped lake blue gems, which was not luxurious but very fresh and beautiful.

She was startled and asked, “What do you mean?”

Kepler said in a clouded voice, “People gave it to me, they said it’s called some kind of ‘Galaxy Star’, so I brought it back for you when I thought it suited you.”

“Oh.”

Nina Hua paused, “Is there anything else? It’s okay I’m going to my room.”

Kepler waved his hand.

Nina Hua turned around and headed for the bedroom.

Get in the house and close the door.

Within the space that belonged to her alone, the originally calm face suddenly moved slightly, and the corners of the mouth could not restrain the rise of the hand, lifting the hand, carefully examining the bracelet on the white white white wrist.

Blue gemstones on a platinum bracelet, when you look closely, there’s a subtle flow of light through the gemstones, so pretty!

Something soft grows slowly in the heart somehow.

At that moment, Kepler’s voice came in through a door.

“Don’t sleep, clean up and go out to dinner with me.”

Nina Hua put his hand down and suddenly remembered something, and was about to speak when he added, “Just the two of us.”

The words I was about to say were suddenly swallowed back.

Half a dozen times, he said, “Good.”

Together, they went downstairs to an open-air western restaurant in the lodge for dinner.

Halfway through the meal, Nina Hua suddenly felt a burning sight behind him and didn’t turn to look.

I saw Li Manxin sitting not far from them, surrounded by a group of young men and women, from the dress alone, it could be seen that they were all a group of people who were engaged in art, and vaguely sent over by the wind words, but also some artistic topics.

Nina Hua smiled politely at her.

Rarely, however, did Li Manxin even react, staring straight at the bracelet on her wrist.

She wondered back and looked at the seasonal lingering.

Only the man was still elegantly eating his steak, as if he hadn’t even noticed Lee Mansin not far away.

Not long after, Lee Mansin came over.

“Kepler, what a coincidence, you guys are here for dinner too?”

As if it was only then that Kepler saw her, he picked up his napkin and wiped his mouth and said, “Yes.You partying with friends?”

Li Manxin nodded her head and smiled softly, her already thin body becoming even more charming with a smile like that.

“Will you come tonight?”She asked, her tone full of anticipation.

I don’t know.

It wasn’t Nina Hua’s illusion, she actually felt that at that moment, Kepler seemed to be frowning slightly.

Then he nodded, “What time?”

The glee on Lee Mansin’s face was almost impossible to hide, “It starts at nine.”

“Yes!I’ll be there.”

“Then I’ll wait for you.”

After saying that, she looked deeply into Kepler’s eyes, then looked over at Nina Hua beside her, and without pausing, she directly turned around and walked back.

Nina Hua was thoroughly ignored throughout.

Even she doesn’t understand how to offend this one!

When they left after eating, Li Manxin’s table was still eating happily, and the gentle and weak woman was surrounded by a group of strange men and women, whispering and laughing, which should have been a very strange picture, but looked incomparably harmonious.

Kepler took her hand and said, “What are you looking at?Gone!”

Only then did Nina Hua react and was dragged out by him.

The sight behind her back had been hot, like pins and needles, and it made her uncomfortable.

They didn’t go back to the hotel and went boating on a natural lake in the lodge.

The lake is very clear, vaguely visible all kinds of small fish swimming, a look will know that environmental protection is doing very well, two people in a wooden boat rowed until the middle of the lake before stopping, looking in all directions can be seen a long distant mountains, coupled with the cool breeze in the evening on the face, is very pleasant.

Nina Hua was lying on the bow of the boat, reached out and scooped up a handful of lake water, and miraculously scooped up a large red goldfish, and was so happy.

“Hey!Look, I caught a small fish.”

Kepler put down the oars and went to squat down beside her, also faintly curling his lips.

“Should I put it up?”

“Yes!Of course I do!”

Once a child’s heart is aroused, it becomes especially exciting.

Kepler saw this and said nothing, quickly returned to the cabin to get a bottle of mineral water, and after unscrewing the cap and pouring out the water, refilled half the bottle of lake water, which allowed her to put the fish in.

“Quick!Let’s see if we can catch a few more.”

Nina Hua, who had tasted the sweetness once, was obviously aroused and kept fishing in the lake while lying on the bow of the boat.

Kepler didn’t stop her, he didn’t talk much today, so he sat next to her, holding the bottle and watching quietly.

But it was not retrieved for a long time.

In fact, this kind of fish flexible and small, and the lake is so big, want to hand fishing fish would have been very difficult, but just lucky to catch a just.Nina Hua naturally understood this, so even if he ended up with nothing, there wasn’t much frustration.

Tired of playing, she also followed the example of Kepler and sat down on the bow of the boat, stretching her limbs out cozily.

“It’s so comfortable here, it feels like the whole thing is relaxed once you get out.”

Kepler nodded, “It’s been a hard time for you, you should relax for a few days.”

Nina Hua was stunned, and then remembered that, indeed, he hadn’t been this relaxed for a long time.

She frowned at the thought of that strange Lee Mansin just now.

“What is that woman’s relationship to you anyway? Why do I always get the feeling she likes you?”

There was no special expression on Kepler’s face, only a faint glance at her.

“So?”

Nina Hua stared.

“Are you jealous?”

Her face changed, and she half snorted.

“Ghosts are jealous.”

However, in the end, the mood suddenly got worse.

Kepler explained: “Her father was kind to me before, I was just looking at her father’s face is not good for her face, the other simply can not, besides we have not seen each other for many years, she also has her own fiancé, today agreed to go over, because once promised her father will help her if necessary, but does not mean that we have other possibilities.”
